Email, direct messaging, Facebook® messages, Tweets, blog posts, podcasts, videos… there are many ways to connect with people electronically these days, and more ways are popping up all the time.
In fact, there are so many options with the internet that it’s easy to forget about old-school direct mail.
But you may need to do something a bit different. Sometimes the best ads are the most subtle. Have you noticed how television ads are evolving lately? Especially medication ads. They are all about people enjoying an active lifestyle, subtly telling people that they will be more active and their family will magically be nice to them if they take that medication.
You don’ have to go that far, but what can you do to be different? What about hiring a local artist to design your brochure, so it looks cool? Or take a picture of a local landmark for your postcard. You can always lead them to a special web page designed for them (called a landing page), something different form your main page that might have special information or a discount just for people that saw your brochure or letter.
