Hi everyone, Dr. Ty here, and welcome to the first of my short videos to help you market your business. Hey, stay tuned to the end, I have a question for you
Today I have a great online marketing strategy that will get you more customers using SEO for 2021.
Find out what your competition is doing.
You have a competitor that is rocking it better than you are (everyone does). What are they doing that you are not doing?
And if you think you can’t find that out, have I got news for you!
Here are three tips to find out exactly what your competition is doing right now to get more customers:
1. Click here to go to our SEO tools. Login (or create an account) and under tools, you will see options like Google SERP. Now, SERP just means Search Engine Results Page. It’s not as intimidating as it sounds.
You can see how your web site is ranking if you type in your web address.
But here’s the trick: Type in your competition’s web address and see what they are doing.
You can do the same thing with high quality back links. Find out what backlinks they have, copy them down, and see if you can get backlinks from the same sites. There may be an industry directory or something that you didn’t know about before.
2. Go to Facebook and see what ads your competition has been posting. Every business page now has a spot where you can see what they are doing. It’s currently called “Page Transparency,” but Facebook will probably change the name again.
Find out how long they have been running each specific ad. Chances are, any ad that has been running for 3 weeks or more is profitable for them. Copy it. Do a similar ad yourself.
3. Check out Google Alerts.www.google.com/alerts. You can use your gmail account to get alerts about anything you want, including your competition. But, if their business name is two or more words, be sure to put them in quotes.
Hey, do me a favor, like and comment on this if you found it educational. And I’d really like to know what SEO or marketing questions you have so send me a message and I’ll try to answer in the weeks to come.
