The unknown can be paralyzing, especially if you are making a change that is completely foreign to you. But it can also be exciting. Think about it, when was the last time your life leapt forward while you were sitting on your couch binge watching a show? Change happens, and whether it is good or bad is completely up to you. - What’s the good in this? No matter how bad the situation, there is something good there, even if the good is knowing what not to do in the future. Find the good in every situation.
- Who else has gone through this? Find someone who has done this before. Just knowing you are not the only one can be a relief.
- Take a breath. Stress makes us think we need to keep going. Stop for a minute and take some deep, slow breaths. Don’t hold your breath, just nice, deep, slow breaths and you will feel the stress melt away.
